March 21, 2010: GERM swimmers
had another strong meet at the Albatross Open in Bethesda.
Our 28 swimmers earned just enough points to win the meet,
and our men’s team also won their division.
Meet records were set by
Jeanne Lappin in all three women’s 55-59 fly events, and by
Ken Wall in the men’s 65-69 200m back.
New team records were set
by the following relays: Women’s 160+ 200m medley: Denise
Noznesky, Karen Cosgrove, Jeanne Lappin, and Ryann Dancy;
Men’s 160+ 400m medley: Anthony Higgins, Dan Blitz, Paul
Wolf, Karl Wunderlich. Ten other GERM relays scored to help
us win the meet.
Individual swimmers who
set new team records included: Denise Noznesky (W40-44) 400m
free; Jeanne Lappin (W55-59) 50, 100, 200m fly; Anthony
Higgins (M40-44) 50, 100, 200m back; Dan Blitz (M40-44) 200m
breast; Karl Wunderlich (M45-49) 50m free, 50m breast, 100m
IM; Rick Farrell (M60-64) 200, 400m free; David Robinson
(M65-69) 100, 400m free, 100m back; John Norvell (M70-74)
100m free.
Also scoring points and
adding to our winning total were: Richard Grodsky, Dyann
Charette, Keir Knight, Adam Spector, Bryan Main, Monte
Lewis, Bobby Sanderson, Tim Miller, Jeff Williams, Konate
