Congratulations, swimmers, on
another win at the Albatross Open. This meet was extremely
close. Ancient Mariners actually outscored us going into the
relays. But we put in 11 strong relays to capture the high
point award. One highlight of the meet was the attempt at a
USMS record by the 200+ women’s 400 medley relay. They came
within 2 seconds of a new national record (5:09 to 5:07).
Lisa Van Pelt-Diller, Amy Cooley, Jeanne Lappin and Denise
Noznesky were the swimmers. Needless to say, they set a team
record. Other relays that set new team records were:
Men 160+ 400m free: Paul
Wolf, Karl Wunderlich, Tim Brockway, John Elliott
Men 240+ 200m free: Rick
Farrell, Dan Thomas, Ken Wall, Tim Miller
Men 240+ 400m medley:
Farrell, Miller, Mark Walters, David Robinson
Mixed 160+ 200m free:
Noznesky, Elliott, Wolf, Jennifer Halem
Mixed 200+ 400m free:
Karen Cosgrove, Thomas, Scott Golden, Dyann Charette
Mixed 200+ 200m medley:
